love is in the mail!

guess what arrived in my mailbox yesterday?

that's right. the newest anthropologie catalog. tell me, how much of a moron do you have to be to pay $250 for a sweater than looks it was a crocheted by a deadhead in the back of a van who then exchanged it for a dime bag? hmmm? you'd have to be a giant moron, but apparently there are a lot of giant morons, since that store does so well.

wait, i meant that what i really got in the mail was vegan cookzines! papa tofu from kittee and DEOTS #2 from katie! hot damn! i was especially excited to see that papa tofu comes with kittee's kitteekake tutorial and most (all?) of her cake recipes, which is awesome since what i do now is unplug the laptop and cart it into the kitchen with me, which is just generally a bad idea. no more! now i can just bring the zine in there. hot. damn.

now i'm going to take myself a little nap before i need to make the green bean casserole for a thanksgiving potluck that we're going to this evening.

Ha, I got a kitchen stool for my birthday so now I can sit here, internet, and cook all at the same time. I love it. Does that mean that there's something wrong with me?

Ah yes, the Anthropologie catalog. I guess I'll be expecting mine today. They always send me catalogs even though I haven't purchased anything from them since 2005. But I love their stuff. Not all of it, of course. A lot of it, though. I have this green hand knit sweater from there that I LOVE (ok this is not the best photo of it, but here http://www.talulafairie.com/pics/pic14.jpg)

Ack, I was still typing and somehow pressed enter too soon. I was going to say that I wish Anthropologie would stop sending me catalogs because I am way broke and it's getting to be rather painful. I should just throw them out without looking.

But then the poor trees would have died for nothing. I have to look!

that's a lovely sweater. (and baby!) i just feel that they drastically overcharge for most of their items. whenever i'm going through their catalog, i just want to say: "OH COME ON!" to over half of the items.

yay! I'm already drooling at the thought of all the cake and Ethiopian food that's coming my way from Papa Tofu...

Oh ya, they totally do overcharge! I often say that to myself when reading their catalog too. It's way overpriced. And, when broke, so painful too look at the catalog!

That is the best and funniest description of the stuff in the Anthropologie catalog I've ever heard. Evah!
